Bale Breaker Brewing announces its fresh hop beer release schedule. It includes a beer brewed with Russian River Brewing of California: Fresh Hop Frenz IPA, which they’ll release on September 22nd. You’ll find details about all of this in the story below.

Fresh hop beer season is just about here. Nobody knows it better than Bale Breaker Brewing, which sits right in the middle of hop country and is very familiar with the bustling frenzy that is the annual hop harvest. The brewery just announced its fresh hop beer lineup and release schedule for 2023.

This year, Bale Breaker Brewing’s fresh hop beer menu includes a special beer brewed with Russian River Brewing, the esteemed brewery from Northern California. Fresh Hop Frenz IPA is the latest installment in the ongoing Frenz series of beers from Bale Breaker. (Read about the series here.)

Over a decade ago, Bale Breaker’s owners became friends with Vinnie and Natalie Cilurzo, the founders of Russian River Brewing. Each year, during the hop harvest, the California brewery owners would visit Bale Breaker’s family farm, Loftus Ranches, for hop selection.

“Bale Breaker was still just a dream of ours when we first met Vinnie and Natalie,” says Bale Breaker co-owner Meghann Quinn. “Our shared passion for high-quality hops and high-quality beer is a big part of what inspired us to start Bale Breaker. Our friendship has continued to grow over the years during their annual September trips to Yakima, so we couldn’t be more stoked to finally brew a Simcoe® fresh hop IPA together during harvest this year!”

Fresh Hop Frenz IPA is just one of the three fresh hop beers Bale Breaker Brewing will release and distribute in cans this September. Homegrown Fresh Hop IPA and Citra Slicker Wet Hop IPA are regular fresh hop offerings from the brewery. We share more details about the beers below. In addition to these packaged beers, Bale Breaker will offer several smaller-batch fresh hop beers on tap at its taprooms.
