Like the old adage says, “Time flies when you’re making beer.” Case in point, it’s hard to believe that it’s been 13 years since Bainbridge Brewing poured its first pints. Located on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, the brewery and taproom opened at Coppertop Park in 2012. In 2018, it opened its second location, the Bainbridge Brewing Alehouse in downtown Winslow, just a few steps from the ferry terminal.
On Saturday, September 6th, the Bainbridge Brewing celebrates its 13th anniversary. The official soiree happens at the original brewery and taproom, but they’ll have some special stuff on tap at the Alehouse as well. Here are the details from the brewery.
Lucky Number 13!
Bainbridge Brewing is celebrating the brewery’s 13th Anniversary this coming Saturday, September 6th at the Brewery Taproom (9415 Coppertop Loop NE) on Bainbridge Island.
“It boggles the mind that our little brewery is now a teenager! No wonder I look like I drank from the wrong grail…” muttered Brewmaster Russell Everett to himself while writing this press release.
To celebrate, we will tap a keg and release cans of our 13th Anniversary Whisky Barrel Aged Vanilla Bean Imperial Stout, brewed with Organic Grade A Madagascar Vanilla Beans and aged in our neighbor Bainbridge Organic Distiller’s amazing whisky barrels.
We will also be tapping past anniversary beers throughout the day, including the last keg of 1st Anniversary Wine Barrel Aged Wheatwine, 3rd Anniversary Whisky Barrel Doppelbock, 6th Anniversary Triple IPA, 12th Anniversary Mocha Imperial Porter, and others!
We are aiming to make this event family friendly, and there’ll be a photobooth, a Bouncy House, and a Splatter Art Tent. Plus Ice cream! And tacos! The Cornhole boards will be out and day long raffle prizes. And we are bringing in more pinball and arcade games beyond the five pinball machines we already have and setting the entire lot to free play!
How long can you hold a full, proper 1 liter masskrug out? Because from 4:00 to 6:00 we’re having a Steinholding Competition! Open to all comers with prizes for winners in the various categories.
“That looks exhausting…Think I’ll just stick to 16oz curls thank you very much,” quipped Brewmaster Russell
And if you can’t make it to the actual brewery, our Alehouse location nearer the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal will also have the new anniversary beer available starting Saturday. “Cheers to everyone for thirteen years of Bainbridge beers!” from a grateful and proud Brewmaster Russell.
