What Ballard is to Seattle, Sunnyland is to Bellingham. In the neighborhood just north of downtown, you’ll find several breweries within easy walking distance of each other. For the fifth year, the breweries of Sunnyland invite you to join them for a four-day celebration of beer and the season. It’s not Oktoberfest, it’s Sunnyland Fest and the fun is spread across four days (September 19th through 22nd).
At the heart of the matter, each brewery will release special beers, with a bend towards fest biers. Sunnyland Fest is similar to a pub crawl, with a punch card to track your progress. Pick up your card at any of the participating breweries and start getting stamped. Get stamps at all six breweries to enter the raffle and win swag and gift cards from the participating breweries.
Participating breweries include El Sueñito Brewing, Kulshan Brewing, Otherlands Beer, Stemma Brewing, Twin Sisters Brewing, and Wander Brewing. Each brewery will be releasing a special beer for the occasion. Perhaps, more than one.You can complete your card in one day, but it’s probably better that you spread all those beers out across a few days. That’s why this is a four-day brewery crawl.
