Pandemic be damned! Seattle’s oldest beer festival will not be so easily deterred. The PNA Winter Beer Taste is adapting to these strange times to offer beer lovers a different kind of festival experience this year, one that does not involve a crowded room full of people.

For the 33rd Annual PNA Winter Beer Taste, the Phinney Neighborhood Association is taking the festival online, presenting three different sessions, each with its own lineup of beers. The sessions are spread across three Thursday evenings: November 12, November 19, and December 3.

“Sadly, we’ll miss the warm, crowded Phinney Center with the lovely aroma of delicious ales filling the rooms,” says the event website. “However, that won’t stop us from enjoying those brews and “meeting” our favorite brewers! In this time of COVID, we’ll be hosting three evenings of Zoom beer tasting with three breweries on each night. So snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, enjoy your elbow room and personal space, and celebrate 33 years of local beer with us with no need to Uber!”
