This year marks the 20th anniversary for Silver City Brewery. To commemorate the occasion, the brewery will release a special series of beers, aptly named the 20th Anniversary Series. First up, MacFarlane’s Scotch Ale, which Silver City releases on Friday, January 8. It will be available on tap and in a very limited number of 22-ounce bottles.
Some of the 20th Anniversary beers will harken back to the brewery’s early days. Others will be entirely fresh creations inspired by the brewery’s past. McFarlane’s Scotch Ale was part of Silver City Brewery’s original lineup back in 1996.
With Scottish lineage and history in mind, this peaty, malt-forward beer was a craft pioneer for the style and a precursor to today’s Fat Scotch Ale. It will be available on draft and in very limited 22oz bottles.
