Gig Harbor Brewing partners with local coffee roaster for new beer

A new coffee cream ale from Gig Harbor Brewing features locally roasted coffee from Cutters Point Coffee Company. The beer blends cold-brewed coffee with light-bodied, dry cream ale. Here’s more about the project and the beer straight from the brewery.

Gig Harbor Brewing Partners With Local Coffee Roaster To Create New Coffee Cream Ale

When Gig Harbor Brewing’s Sales & Marketing Director, Doug Wankowski, came up with the idea for a new coffee cream ale, he knew there was only one choice for such a special collaboration project: Gig Harbor’s own Cutters Point Coffee Co.

After bringing together Cutters Point Head Roaster, Ryan Zink, and Gig Harbor Brewing’s Production Brewer, Jim Shoemake, a recipe was developed for a delicious blend of cold-brewed coffee and cream ale.

Made with a blend of coffee beans from Colombia, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua, this unique cream ale has a beautiful coffee aroma and flavor profile, a light body, and finishes dry with a slight hint of berry and cream.

This new delicious specialty beer can be found on tap and in 16 oz. 4-pack cans at Cutters Point Coffee’s flagship Gig Harbor location, and at both Gig Harbor Brewing taprooms in Gig Harbor and Tacoma, as well as several South Sound craft beer locations.
