12 String Brewing close to opening in Spokane Valley

Last March we told you about 12 String Brewing, a new brewery opening in Spokane Valley, WA. (Read that post.) Yesterday we told you about some of the latest news from the Liquor Control Board regarding new license applications, new license approvals, and so on.  Today we learned that 12 Strings Brewing is somewhere between “approved” and “on the official list of approved breweries.” According to the information the state provided, 12 String was neither pending or approved. Bureaucracy being what it is, this should not be a surprise.

We assume that 12 String Brewing will keep us posted. Stay tuned.

Here is a message we received from Terry Hackler:

Just wanted to put the word out there that we finally received all of our licenses and are putting the finishing touches on the brewery and expect to brew our first batch about September 14th or so. It has been a long and grueling process getting everything in place. We are kind of doing it the hard way as we have built everything including our 7 bbl brew system from scratch. Stay tuned for an announcement of our taproom opening date.
