Here’s some happy news related to aluminum cans and craft beer.

It’s been a long time coming, but Chuckanut Brewery is releasing cans of its beer. I hate to make such happy and welcomed news part of a darker story, but the timing makes it so. Suddenly, mentioning aluminum cans brings uneasy feelings in the craft beer industry. We cannot ignore the dark cloud the impending tariffs bring to the horizon, but we can bask in the glow of this moment: Chuckanut Brewery’s beers now available in cans.

Long offered as draft products and also some bottled products, this is the first time the brewery has released beer in aluminum cans as part of its regular lineup. A series of events across the PNW will introduce several of the offerings to consumers.

“Now that the cat (or can) is out of the bag and the word is out that Chuckanut has cans, the partying continues,” said the announcement from the brewery. “It’s been a long time coming and Chuckanut is celebrating the release of 12-oz cans of Chuckanut Bohemian Pilsner, Chuckanut Kolsch and the seasonal Chuckanut Mexican Style Lager (March through July) as March begins.”
