This year’s version of one of Washington’s most esteemed beers hits the streets this Saturday

Very few beers cause the hairs on my arms to stand up. Three Ryes Men, literally, made the hairs on my arm stand up. There were witnesses. It’s just that good. Over the years, Reuben’s Brews earned a host of awards that prove the point. For one of Washington’s most highly decorated breweries, Three Ryes Men is one of its most highly decorated beers. The brewery releases this year’s version of its award-winning barleywine on Saturday, November 1st at its taproom in Seattle.

“Born from our barrel program and built on a foundation of rye, oak, and patience, it’s a beer that whispers of time, balance, and the quiet art of restraint,” said the announcement from Reuben’s Brews. “Every year it reminds us why we chase complexity in the first place. Layers of spice and caramel swirl with notes of vanilla and toast, the rye’s warmth cutting through the richness like a well-timed joke in good company. It’s bold but never loud, refined but still very much alive – the kind of beer that turns a table into a conversation and a pour into a memory.”

Along with the standard version of Three Ryes Men, each year the brewery produces variations that include additional spices and flavors. The apple pie variant has proven particularly popular in the past. This year, for the release, Reuben’s Brew’s is pouring the core release alongside a few special variants. What are this year’s variants? You’ll need to go to the brewery’s taproom on November 1st and find out.

“Join the crowd of rye and stout lovers who gather each year to savor it, compare notes, and celebrate the craftsmanship that’s earned this beer more medals than we have wall space for. Raise your glass, take a sip, and remember – some traditions are worth savoring slowly. Don’t miss it!”
