Join the beloved Bellingham beer institution for its biggest Saint Patrick’s Day celebration ever.

Saint Patrick’s Day in Bellingham won’t be the same without Boundary Bay Brewery. For as long as most folks can remember, the city’s St. Pat’s parade concluded at Boundary Bay’s location on Railroad Avenue, where the bistro and beer garden hosts a big, raging hooley with live music, traditional dancing, Irish food specials, and lots of beer. This year, they’ve extended the party across four days for the brewery’s final year.

As we reported in November, the beloved brewery and pub will close its doors forever at the end of this year. Not necessarily for the reasons many people might imagine, like the current economic climate, but because the building’s owner has decided to sell the building, which will likely see the property developed into something else, like a shiny new apartment complex. Ed and Janet, the owners, will use this as an opportunity to transition into a well-earned retirement. For a craft brewery and restaurant, 30 years is a helluva run!

The Biggest St. Pat’s Party Yet

Before we reach that final, sad day at the end of 2025, Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro invites you to its annual Saint Patrick’s Day celebration March 14th through 17th. Below, I share information about the four days of events and specials straight from the brewery.

“If you’re searching for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow this Saint Patrick’s day, look no further than Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro,” said an announcement from Boundary Bay Brewery and Bistro. “With March 17th being on a Monday this year, Boundary Bay is preparing four full days of St. Patrick’s Day family fun.”

Boundary Bay’s Events Coordinator Shanna Sheridan-McInnis says it will be extra special this year. “It’s our last St. Patrick’s Day at Boundary Bay and we are going full throttle on making it extra memorable. There will be more dancing, more music, delicious Irish fare and beer, special vendors, and our famous Fish Fry menu and Doug’s Burgers food truck thrown in the mix!”

All weekend – The celebrations kick off on Friday evening, March 14th with The Penk O’Donnell Irish dancers performing in the bistro and taproom. “They have been a special part of St. Patrick’s Day festivities since the early days of Boundary Bay. They will perform each day Friday through Monday.”
