Happening Now: Beveridge Place Pub second anniversary party (in their new space) – and Georgetown brewers night and the world release of their new Lucille IPA. Delicious! Clean, hop forward, nice floral notes. The keg is a clear plexi, and it was fun watching it drain in less than an hour. They are headed back to the brewery to refill the keg as I type. They also have Manny’s, 9 lb Porter, Rogers, and a cask of Choppers Red.

It’s also IPApril at the Bev right now with even more hop-laden lovelies than usual. So really the question is, why not come down?

We just learned that the Lucille IPA is pretty much Manny’s recipe — though he gives credit to his brewers, they give credit to him. Seven rounds of hops, including Centennial, Amarillo, and Cascade hops. This beer is dangerously deceptive at 7.2 percent ABV. Not boozy or overly sweet, just well-balanced and delicious.
