This past Tuesday night we reported live from the Firkin-Firkin Throwdown at Elysian Cap. Hill. The event feature a head-to-head showdown between Washington brewers and California brewers to determine who makes the better cask-conditioned beer. Well, at least amongst the breweries and beer represented in the competition. Winners were determined in each category (IPA, Porter, Stout, etc). Each voter also got to vote for one state – the “overall” vote. There was also a best-in-show category.
