Get tickets now for this always-sold-out, Seattle area holiday tradition
Washington Winter Beer Fest is now just a month away (December 20 and 21). For many Seattle area beer lovers, this annual event is a holiday tradition. The time to get your tickets is here.
As we reported, the Washington Brewers Guild is switching things up this time. The event moves to a new location (better location IMHO). Just two sessions, one on Friday and one on Saturday. It will have a more exclusive feel, with the brewers offering guests special beers, some not available otherwise. The new, token-free format means unlimited tastings, but not irresponsible drinking with festivalgoers adhering to the Washington Brewers Guild’s code of conduct. Below, we share the event details including the list of participating breweries.
“The beers are strong, the company’s warm, and the festivities are high,” says the event organizers. “This long-running festival is full of all the charm and fun the holiday season brings. With special seasonal beers, an epic booth decoration contest, and enough mirth and joy to get you through to January 2025, Winter Beer Fest will be a festival no one will want to miss.”
A New Home for Winter Beer Fest
Nothing against the old venue, a historic WWII-era hangar at Magnuson Park, but the new venue is comparatively fancy. Victory Hall opened a couple of years ago in the completely revamped space that was once the longtime home of Pyramid Brewing, right next door to Hatback Grille and Steelheads Alley, where Métier Brewing operates a brewery.
Located on First Avenue, right across the street from T-Mobile Park, Victory Hall is very near the intersection of I-90 and I-5, a half-mile walk from Link Light Rail’s Stadium Station and several bus lines. Metro routes 5 and 21 are just one block away.
Why the change? For the past decade, Hangar 30 at Seattle’s Magnuson Park hosted the Winter Beer Fest. This year, the City of Seattle changed the way it managed reservations at that location and switched to a lottery system. The Washington Brewers Guild did not win the lottery so it needed to find a new location for the event.
