Pouring for Neighbors is an initiative founded to help Western North Carolina recover from the ravishes of Hurricane Helene. Among the many businesses and individuals impacted, several breweries and their employees are facing dire circumstances. The program is being spearheaded by the North Carolina Brewers Guild. Breweries across the nation are encouraged to help raise funds for the massive relief efforts.

It’s simple. Brew a beer, or take a new beer that’s ready to be poured, and pledge the proceeds to disaster relief efforts. Sign-up is easy via the Guild’s website, which is where you can also learn more about the initiative. Once you’ve signed up, you’ll get access to a marketing toolkit to help promote your involvement.

“Western North Carolina’s breweries have been foundational for our craft beer community,” says the announcement from the North Carolina Brewers Guild. “Long known as a catalyst for craft beer in North Carolina, this region has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. As they embark on the long road to recovery, we are calling on breweries everywhere to join us in making a difference.”

“Through the Pouring for Neighbors initiative, breweries and companies nationwide designated a beer, with proceeds supporting disaster relief efforts. Together, we can help our neighbors rebuild, pint by pint.”
