It’s that time of year. Time for Hoptoberfest at the Beveridge Place Pub. In addition to being a month-long celebration of Washington IPAs, it is also a contest to determine the house IPA for the next year. Boundary Bay IPA has been the winner for the past who-remembers-how-many years. We’ll see if the champs can get upset this year. The only stipulation is that it must be a Washington IPA and it must be readily available. In other words, the brewery must be able to continuously feed the Beveridge Place thirsty horde – a consumptive bunch of hop heads know to inhale IPA at an alarming rate.
Starting a couple weeks ago, the Bev began Hoptoberfest by pouring a vast array of Washington IPAs. Patrons were encouraged to nominate their favorites. Now, all nominations have been counted and the Beveridge Place has announced the Elite Eight. This is like the primary. Out of these eight, a Final Three will be determined. Then the race is on to see who can get the most votes and become the regular pour at the Bev.
The Elite Eight runs until October 25th.
The Finals runs from October 26th until November 3rd.
