Do you have a favorite Washington State Park? It’s hard for me to name just one favorite. The Evergreen State has over 140 parks, and I have several favorites. Like me, Bale Breaker Brewing is a big fan of our state parks. On May 16th, the brewery will release a beer designed to support the Washington State Parks Foundation.

“Our love for the outdoors goes hand in hand with our love for craft beer, so join us NEXT FRIDAY May, 16th for the release of I Love My State Parks IPA in BOTH taprooms,” said the announcement on social media.” This West Coast IPA was made to be enjoyed as you appreciate your favorite State Park – while giving back with a portion of the proceeds to Washington State Parks Foundation.”

Look for I Love My State Parks IPA at retailers across Bale Breaker Brewing’s distribution footprint: Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. It will also be available at all Whole Foods Markets locations in Washington and specialty bottle shops and stores throughout the three states. The release events will be held on Friday, May 16th, at both Bale Breaker taprooms (Yakima and Seattle). Follow the brewery on Instagram for all of the details.

For the release event at Bale Breaker Brewing in Yakima, Red’s Fly Shop will conduct a fly-fishing casting workshop and raffle off merchandise, gift cards, and a grand prize: a day of guided fly fishing on the Yakima River. Three food trucks will provide sustenance at the event. At the Bale Breaker taproom in Ballard, Crave Ink will offer flash tattoos. The crew from the Foundation will be there raffling off swag and state park passes.

The beer was made in collaboration with the Washington State Parks Foundation, Yakima Chief Hops, and Cold Stream Malt. Proceeds benefit the Foundation. Based in Seattle, the Washington State Parks Foundation’s mission is to ensure a vibrant and inclusive Washington State Parks system for generations to enjoy. The Foundation engages, expands, and sustains a broad base of supporters who give to, advocate for, and treasure our state parks.
