So what actually counts as a fresh hop event around here?
Look, a lot of bars are going to throw a few fresh hop beers on tap this year, and that’s great — genuinely, it’s a mother-beautiful thing. But that’s not an event. Around these parts, that’s just a Tuesday during the fresh hop season.
For something to make this list, it needs to give people a real shot at tasting multiple fresh hop beers without having to commit to full pints and end up completely schnockered by beer number three. We’re talking tap takeovers. Taster flights. Festivals. Actual events built around the beers that celebrate fresh hops.

Already Underway (Seattle)
Fresh Hop Freshtival at Growler Guys
This isn’t so much a single event as it is an extended celebration of the fresh hop beer season. The Growler Guys will tap into dozens of fresh hop beers over the course of the coming weeks. This one, literally, goes until the season’s bounty is depleted. They have 60 taps, so they have the ability to dedicate a couple dozen, at least, to fresh hop beers. Washington Harvest Fest – (Info/Tickets)
The Washington Brewers Guild presents its first-ever Harvest Fest, a celebration of Washington’s agricultural bounty. And of course, that means fresh hop beer. Along with all the beers, seasonal lagers, and curated food-and-beer pairings. Plus, the opportunity to chat with industry experts from CLS Hop Farm, LINC Malt, and Cold Stream Malt & Grain. Wenatchee Fresh Hop Fest – (Info/Tickets)
The 3rd Annual Fresh Hop Festival at Pybus Public Market in Wenatchee, WA, on September 26, 2026. Enjoy live music from Beau Warren and friends, delicious food, and a fun family game area. Those 21+ can savor fresh hop beers, meads, and ciders in a vibrant fall harvest celebration.Six tasting tokens are included with each general admission ticket. 18 and Life to Go at Everybody’s Brewing – (Details)
It’s an anniversary celebration and fresh hop fest. The brewery invited some other breweries to the party to pour their best fresh hop creations festival-style. The party is all day, but the actual beer fest part of it is in the evening, from 5 – 9. Everybody’s Brewing, 177 E Jewett Blvd, White Salmon, WA 98672.
Saturday, October 8 (Yakima)
Yakima Fresh Hop Ale Festival – (Info/Tickets)
This long-running community event is the mother of all fresh hop festivals. Of course, the Yakima Valley produces the lion’s share of the nation’s annual hop crop, so where better to celebrate the bounty than alongside the farmers and hop industry professionals who supply the nation, and the world, with the hops. The festival itself is a non-profit organization and proceeds benefit a range of the area’s worthwhile programs and organizations. State Fair Park, 1301 S Fair Ave, Yakima, WA 98901.
October 13 – 15 (West Seattle)
Fresh Hop Beer Festival – Freshie Fest – (Details)
Beveridge Place Pub and Washington Beer Blog Present Freshie Fest, a celebration of fresh hop beers. The freshest wet hop fest or the wettest fresh hop fest. You decide. Thursday and Friday, at least a couple dozen fresh hop beers on tap: taster trays or full pours.
