Olympic Eagle builds brands and fosters growth for its craft partners

If you’ve enjoyed craft beer in places like Ocean Shores, Shelton, Long Beach, Centralia, Aberdeen, or Port Orchard, you’ve probably had a beer distributed by Olympic Eagle Distributing. Today I welcome Olympic Eagle Distributing as the newest sponsor of the Washington Beer Blog.

From its locations in Puyallup and Hoquiam, the company distributes beer in the following counties: King, Pierce, Thurston, Kitsap, Mason, Gray’s Harbor, Lewis, and Pacific.

Olympic Eagle Distributing’s craft beer portfolio includes a number of Washington breweries, like Chainline Brewing, Hale’s Ales, Hellbent Brewing, Iron Horse Brewery, Lazy Boy Brewing, Narrows Brewing, and Twenty Corners Brewing. The company also distributes Anheuser-Busch products and beers from associated breweries like Elysian, Goose Island, and 10 Barrel. You can expect to see some adverts from Olympic Eagle’s craft beer partners here on the Washington Beer Blog in the coming months.

“We’ve tried to be brand builders versus brand collectors,” says Jason Tague, High-End Brands Director for Olympic Eagle. “We really enjoy fostering their sales or distribution growth. Since we partnered with our first local independent brewery (Narrows Brewing) back in 2013 we have always kept our local indy portfolio light and nimble so we could do right by our local brewers, the local community and our retailers.”

“As for our future aspirations for our partners, it would be to continue to help them survive and thrive in this crazy time,” added Jason. “We are proud to be a part of this beer community and we are always ready to roll up our sleeves and help out whether it is installing new brewing equipment, participating in a food drive, or giving some insights, we are here to help.”

Yes, they deliver beer to accounts in Tacoma, Olympia, and other urban destinations like that, but in my experience, Olympic Eagle gets some great beer out to some pretty unlikely locations. I remember finding Lazy Boy IPA, quite unexpectedly, at a roadside tavern near Grays Harbor County where I did not expect to find any good beer at all. I also remember a bar in Ocean Shores surprising me with its impressive craft beer lineup, all of which came through Olympic Eagle. (I asked the bar manager because I was so impressed.)

Please join me in welcoming and thanking Olympic Eagle as a supporter of the Washington Beer Blog.
