Tacoma’s Red Hot celebrates 15 years and a new House IPA

Well, damn it, I missed sharing info about last Saturday’s celebration at The Red Hot. The fact I missed it means that I missed the opportunity to tell you about it and I missed the opportunity to actually go myself. It got lost in the feed. I don’t doubt that the party in the beer garden was a good time.

I missed telling you about that party but I don’t want to miss telling you about this. The Red Hot teamed up with Lucky Envelope Brewing to create a new House IPA, which will be the always-on-tap IPA for the next year. Get it at The Red Hot in Tacoma for the next year or get it for a limited time at Lucky Envelope’s taproom in Seattle.

For the uninitiated, The Red Hot is a very focused business. Great hot dogs and great beer. That’s it. I know it sounds simple, but when you do both things exceedingly well, it’s a perfect combination. You need to see the menu to understand. A fun and tasty place to hang out on 6th Ave in Tacoma.

“The Red Hot in Tacoma celebrated its 15th Anniversary this weekend,” Lucky Envelope Brewing said on Instagram. “We teamed up to brew their new house IPA which is now available at The Red Hot and for a limited time in our Tasting Room.”

“Introducing the Learner’s Permit IPA, a clear, cool, and dank IPA featuring Strata, Comet, and Idaho 7 hops. This beer offers bold flavors of pine, papaya, honeydew, and peaches. Soft on the palate with a dry finish it’s an easy drinker perfect for a celebration!”

Congrats to The Red Hot on the milestone. We’ve missed you. Sure, Kim and I stopped by once during the pandemic and bought some to-go dogs at the front door, but we long for the entire Red Hot experience and promise we’ll pay y’all a visit soon.
