Local brewers team up with Bloodworks NW because it takes all types

Three Magnets Brewing and Lucky Envelope Brewing step up to create It Takes All Types IPA. Release this Thursday.

I am a blood donor. I like to say that out loud, not because I am proud, which I am, but more so because I hope it inspires other people to become regular blood donors too. It’s important and for most of us, it is easy .

I am happy to share news of a new beer designed to get you and me talking about Bloodworks Northwest and the importance of donating blood. I’m writing this and you’re reading it, so the plan is working. This Thursday, April 14th marks the release of It Takes All Types Blood Orange IPA, a collaboration beer brewed by Three Magnets Brewing and Lucky Envelope Brewing. The release event takes place at Flatstick Pub in Seattle (South Lake Union).

Here’s the invite that Bloodworks Northwest posted on social media: “On Thursday, April 14th we’ll be at Flatstick Pub SLU from 3-6pm (happy hour) celebrating the launch of this new brew. Be among the first to try our Blood Orange IPA brewed in collaboration with Three Magnets Brewing and Lucky Envelope Brewing and hosted by Flatsitck Pub.”

Three Magnets Brewing posted, “Did you know that you can help alleviate the current blood shortage by PARTYING with us and DRINKING BEER! That’s right, because this beer is SO DAMNED DELICIOUS that you’ll want to tell ALL YOUR FRIENDS about it, which’ll get y’all talking about the blood shortage, which’ll inevitably result in lots and lots of blood being donated! I’d bet you thought all that partying in college would actually prove useful, eh?”

Lucky Envelope Brewing says, “So thrilled to be a part of Bloodworks Northwest’s Culinary Coalition. Take a look at the other amazing Savor Life partnerships and don’t forget, drink your It Takes All Types IPA AFTER your blood donation!”

As the picture above indicates, the beer is getting canned. Look for it at both of the breweries. Also, look for it on the Three Magnets Brewing’s website.
