And speaking of the Airways Bistro and Beer Garden, the Oktoberfest event also serves as the introduction of the newly renovated and upgraded patio. Covered, heated, with the final touches still coming together. See the update below.

Here’s the schedule for Oktoberfest at Airways Brewing:

Thursday at The Tap Room & Brewery
We’ll have a German food popup grill, along with liters and half liters of this year’s Festbier. We’ll tap a wooden cask of Festbier at 5pm, which leads in to The Bonnie Birch Bavarian Trio playing German-favorites from 5-7p.

Friday & Saturday at The Bistro & Beer Garden
The celebration starts Friday, with our famous German food specials, along with this year’s Festbier. Kent mayor Dana Ralph joins us at 5p to tap this year’s ceremonial barrel. Food specials and Festbier pours continue on Saturday, September 16.

Patio Update
“We have a functioning cover! If you’ve been to The Bistro & Beer Garden over the last several months, you’ve noticed all the patio construction. Although it’s not totally done, the new cover is in place, along with lights for evening/nighttime seating. The cover can be adjusted to be fully open, partially open or fully closed, depending on weather. Heaters should be installed soon, just in time for those cool fall & winter hockey nights.”

“The planters will remain bare for now, until after the first of the year when growing season starts. And, in the Spring, we plan to open our outdoor kitchen as well. Thanks to all of you for your patience during this project.”
