Bathe to Save – you get a beer, your dog gets a bath

On Friday, August 5th, Populuxe Brewing in Ballard is hosting an uncommon beer event to raise funds for Homeward Pet Adoption Center. At the Bathe to Save event your dog gets a bath in exchange for your $20 donation. Populuxe Brewing will donate $1 from every pint sold to Homeward Pet. Stop by Populuxe on Friday, August 5 between 4:30 and 8:00 to get your pooch cleaned up and support a good cause.

Populuxe_badgelogo_blue_smallBathe to Save is an 18-month, 50-state tour of the country, with a goal to bathe 25,000 dogs and raise $1 million for animal rescues in the United States. They’re cruising around the country in a big blue RV towing a dog-shaped bathing station. More info below.

For this event, proceeds will be donated to Homeward Pet, which is located in Woodinville. Can’t make it to the event? Give a virtual bath, and make a meaningful gift online at http://greatergood.me/29MTbuS

So what is this Bathe to Save tour all about? Here’s the story in their own words.

We are a family of five Aussies: Anthony, Rachel, Bella (12), Austin (11) and Aria (10). Not only have we recently sold our belongings, moved into an RV and are touring America for an up close and personal lesson in U.S. history, but we are passionate about the welfare of our four-legged friends.

Since only 30 percent of pets in homes are adopted from shelters, we need to make a change.

Our plan: the Bathe to Save Tour.

This summer, the Bathe to Save Tour is embarking upon an 18-month, 50-state excursion around the U.S. to raise awareness of the multiple benefits of animal adoption and to save dogs lives. By transporting the big blue HydroDog mobile grooming unit to every state, the Bathe to Save Team aims to wash 25,000 dogs with 100 percent of the proceeds donated back to animal rescues and organizations!
