It’s that time again. The Beer Junction presents its annual celebration of barrel-aged beers. The Barrel Junction starts today (Saturday, January 24) and runs until Sunday, February 1. Below we share the opening day beer lineup, the daily “headling” beer lineup, and the brewery events lineup.
The styles of beer vary, but the one thing they all have in common is barrel-aging. At some point these beers each spent time in an barrel, be it whiskey, wine, brandy or whatever. For the next 9 days, at least 25 of the taps at the Beer Junction will be dedicated to barrel-aged stouts, barleywines, sours, ciders and more.
Taps will rotate often throughout the fest, so keep an eye on the live tap list at TheBeerJunction.com. Also, there will be certain beers going on tap on certain days – headling beers (see below). Furthermore, there will be a number of special events featuring beers from selected breweries, with brewery representatives on site to talk about the beers.
Sampler trays encouraged. Many of the beers are higher in alcohol (many are 10% ABV or more), so sampler trays of 4oz pours help you try more different beers.
