Event Details
The City of Tumwater and the Tumwater Downtown Association – in partnership with Premier Sponsor O Bee Credit Union – invite you to the 12th Annual Tumwater Artesian Brewfest. The event takes place from on Saturday, August 16 (1pm – 7pm) at the Tumwater Valley Golf Course, in the shadow of the former Olympia Brewery. With over 10 acres of flat manicured grass, the golf course driving range provides a unique outdoor venue for beer tasting, live music, activities, food and fun.
Nearly fifty Pacific Northwest brewers will pour beer at this year’s festival, along with several cideries pouring cider. The event also includes a variety of community booths and a wide range of food options. This year’s musical headliner is the internationally known all-female AC/DC Tribute band, Hell’s Belles. Contests and activities include fun stuff like super-sized beer pong, inflatable games in the “Brewfest Backyard,” and a beer stein holding contests. Also, sing along at the Sip ‘n’ Sing Karaoke Tent. Even if the sun is blazing and the weather is warm, shade tents and a misting area will keep festivalgoers cool and comfortable.
The Tumwater Artesian Brewfest celebrates the long history of beer making in Tumwater and the craft behind today’s outstanding beer and craft beverage professionals. This festival focuses on local brewers and distillers. According to Brewfest organizer Chuck Denney, “For us, it’s an opportunity to bring together a variety of partners and host a fantastic community event. For breweries and cideries, it’s an opportunity to share their talents and products with a regional audience from throughout the South Sound.”
New this year: A lovely new glass for your collection. Taster admission tickets grants 10 tokens this year.
