Foggy Noggin Brewing in Bothell, Washington commemorates the milestone on July 13th and 14th
You’ve probably heard the old proverb, “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” Many years ago, in a magazine article, I said, “Buy a man a beer and he’ll drink for a day; give a man a homebrew kit and he’ll build a brewery in the backyard.” I was talking about Foggy Noggin Brewing in Bothell because that summarized the brewery’s origin.
Fourteen years later, the brewery Jim Jameson built in a shed in his home’s backyard still serves most of its beer in the brewery’s taproom, the home’s garage. Jim’s wife, who gave him that homebrew kit, must be a saint. It is truly a family affair at Foggy Noggin Brewing.
The actual birthday was back in March, but Foggy Noggin delayed the celebration for a few different reasons. The brewery has now announced the 14th-anniversary celebration will take place on July 13th and 14th. The vertical tasting part of the event requires signing up in advance. Details below. Here’s what they’ve announced:
Saturday – July 13th (12-5pm) we will be open 12-5pm and release our 2024 Anniversary Ale (English Old Ale) 6.8% ABV – 55 IBU’s. This will be on tap and available for 22-ounce bottle purchases.
