Some Weekend Ideas

It’s kind of a slow weekend. Everyone seems to be hunkering down and preparing for the upcoming onslaught of Herbert’s events. If you’re looking to get out for a tasty beer this weekend, here are a few ideas.

-This is the big story this weekend – Pillagers Pub in Greenwood opens today (Friday). We’ll be there to report on the grand opening. Stop by and wish them luck. This stop would be very easily paired with a visit to Naked City (across the street).

-While you’re in the ‘hood – Naked City Taphouse in Greenwood tells us that the following beers are “on deck” and might well be tapping in the next couple days: Cascade Mouton Rouge, Russian River Pliny the Elder, Allagash Tripel, and Hitachino Ginger Brew. The list of what’s currently pouring is too long for us to share. Visit the Web site to see what they’re pouring right now.

-Tasty leftovers – The Beveridge Place Pub in West Seattle hosted a Full Sail brewers night Thursday. The event introduced Full Sail Keelhauler Scotch Ale to the Washington market. They very likely will have some left if you stop in to visit. Other Full Sail selections you may find awaiting you are a cask-conditioned Black Gold Imperial Stout and a randalized version of the Slipknot IPA. Whatever the case, The Bev is always a worthy stop.

-Westward Ho! – Silver City Brewery in Silverdale will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day all weekend. They’ll be pouring their Shannon’s Irish Stout and offering some Irish-themed specials on the food menu, which includes corned beef and cabbage (on Irish potato cake) and a Dublin double cut pork chop. They’ll also offer some other Irish-themed treats.

Go have fun.

  1. In response to our ”on deck” beers. We do have the beers listed above in our cooler, however, we probably won’t be tapping the Gouden Carolus or the Samichlaus soon. We will have plenty of other great beers on hand though. On deck beers that could very well go on in the next few days are Cascade Mouton Rouge, Russian River Pliny the Elder, Allagash Tripel and Hitachino Ginger Brew.

    Thanks,
