We just received the announcement that Saddle Rock Pub & Brewery in Wenatchee will host the third annual Great Washington Porter Festival this year. The event takes place on Presidents Day Weekend (February 14 and 15).
In addition to being a festival that celebrates all sorts of Northwest-born porters, there will also be a homebrew contest. We’ll have more details about that in the coming days.
As far as the festival goes, here are the details:
THIRD ANNUAL GREAT WASHINGTON PORTER FESTIVAL ON TAP FEBRUARY 14-15
The Third Annual Great Washington Porter Festival will be on tap at the Saddle Rock Pub & Brewery in Wenatchee on Presidents’ Day Weekend, February 14 and 15.
The event will showcase beers made in the porter style, George Washington’s favorite beer. More than a dozen porters from Washington
State and the Northwest will be poured at the festival, including brown porters, robust porters, imperial porters, smoked porters, barrel-aged porters and others with additional ingredients such as vanilla.
The two-day event will also feature a homebrew contest, the winner of which will have his or her porter brewed by Saddle Rock at a future date.
There is no charge for the festival, which will run Friday, February 14, 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 15, noon to 10:00 p.m. The festival is for adults age 21 and older. Beers will be sold as samples or by the glass. Food will also be available.
