Two new brewery taprooms are now open in Vancouver, Washington

It’s a way that many breweries are adapting to the changing craft beer landscape. It’s not a taproom at the brewery, but it’s a brewery’s off-site taproom. A satellite taproom. You are going to hear about more and more of them in the near future. Mark my word.

Two breweries recently opened satellite taprooms in Vancouver, Washington. Well, one recently opened and the other opens tomorrow (July 13th). Below I share some details about them both.

A Little Vice

Vice Beer Company of East Vancouver is poised to open A Little Vice on Thursday, July 13th. It’s described as “A tiny beer bar by Vice Beer.” The location is 701 Main St., Vancouver.

Like much of what Vice Beer does, the vibe here will lean on nostalgia. In particular, 1980s nostalgia. Think Miami Vice and boom boxes and you won’t be too far off the mark. The beer is not so dated. Expect a range of beers that focus on the fringes instead of the mundane–from dry-hopped imperial IPAs to culinary-inspired stouts, from hazy IPAs to tropical-smoothie sours.

No food service, but you can order grub from the chili parlor down the street right from your table.

Brothers Cascadia Evergreen Pub

Just two blocks up the street from A Little Vice, at 108 W Evergreen Blvd, you’ll find the Brothers Cascadia Brewing’s Evergreen Pub. It’s a familiar location for many local beer lovers. Previously, this was the home of Old Ivy Brewery and Taproom. Going back even further in time, it was the home of Salmon Creek Brewery and Pub. Now it’s reborn as the Brothers Cascadia Brewing Evergreen Pub.

Expect the same high-quality, family-friendly establishment you’ve come to expect from Brothers Cascadia Brewing’s original location in North Vancouver (Hazel Dell). The menu at the new pub offers a variety of food options, from salads and snacks to sandwiches and burgers. And of course, the same great beer you expect from the Brothers.
