This Friday, September 28th Airways Brewing celebrates Oktoberfest at the brewery in Kent and also at the Airways Bistro and Beer Garden in downtown Kent. The festivities carry over to Saturday as well. One important highlight, on Friday they’ll release Tickle Der Zwickel Festbier, a seasonal favorite among those who love a good German-style Zwickel.

Straight from Airways Brewing itself, here’s a description of what’s happening at both locations.

Friday & Saturday, September 28-29

Get ready to hoist your mug and say, “Prost!” this Friday. It’s time for the annual release of our Tickle Der Zwickel Festbier. We brew it each August and it spends about six weeks in the tank to develop it’s extremely quaffable characteristics. Malty, frothy and balanced, we brew it using only German malt, hops, and yeast. It’s one of our passion projects.

Bistro & Beer Garden: Stop by Friday or Saturday and try this year’s Festbier along with tasty German fare. We’ll be serving up flammkuchen (German pizza), brat or rouladen plates with potato salad and bacon braised cabbage, and of course our fluffy Bavarian pretzels with mustard and cheese sauce.

Tap Room & Brewery: Squatch Dogs will be back at the Tap Room starting at 4 pm Friday night, and this time they’ll be cooking up brats to go with our Festbier. Stop by and enjoy this nice weather with friends to head into the weekend.

We’re also partnering with Caliber Home Loans this season for SOCKTOBERFEST 2018, a sock drive to collect warm wear for some of the more than 11,000 homeless people in the Puget Sound area. Drop off socks at either Airways location before October 27.
