When most people think about Bale Breaker Brewing, they imagine beautiful, hoppy creations. Makes sense. The brewery is located in the middle of a hop field and they do indeed make super-hopped beers as well as anyone. However, that’s not all they brew.
Today Bale Breaker Brewing introduces three new barrel-aged beers, available in bottles. Here is the release info from the brewery.
Bale Breaker Introduces Three New Barrel-Aged Bottles
Yakima Valley Brewery announces three spring additions to their barrel-aged bottle program: Melodreamatic Saison, Vagaberry Wild Ale, and Nouveau Blanc Vinoveza.
Yakima, Wash. – April 16, 2021 – Bale Breaker Brewing Company, a family-owned brewery located in the beautiful Yakima Valley, today announces the upcoming release of three new beers as a part of their barrel-aged bottle program, originally launched in winter 2019.
Nouveau Blanc Vinoveza joins Bale Breaker’s previous three Vinovezas – a new style of beer fermented with wine grape juice- while Melodreamatic and Vagaberry are unique additions to Bale Breaker’s wine barrel-aged lineup. All three celebrate the aroma of wine grapes with balanced acidity and will be released in conjunction with the Yakima Valley’s annual Spring Barrel Weekend.
“We launched our barrel-aged beer program out of our taproom in late 2019 but took all of 2020 to experiment and decide what direction we’d like to go with the program,” Meghann Quinn, Bale Breaker co-owner and business manager said. “In 2021, we’re refining our program with just 2 release dates: this spring release, focusing on the wine barrel-aged beers that celebrate the grapes grown here in the Yakima Valley, and a fall release that will focus on the whiskey barrel-aged beers we’ve become known for.”
These three spring releases will be available out of Bale Breaker’s Taproom starting April 22nd, in conjunction with Spring Barrel Wine Tasting Weekend in the Yakima Valley. The wine barrel-aged bottled beers will also be getting limited distribution in late-April throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho at select bottleshops and stores.
