This Saturday, you are invited to a final shindig at Lazy Boy Brewing in South Everett. After more than 16 years, the company is closing the location and preparing to move to the Everett waterfront. The brewery intends to open its new location later this year.

Lazy Boy Brewing opens at 12:30 on Saturday, January 14th, with the Seahawks playoff game kicking off at 1:30 on the TVs. A food truck, She’s got Bowls, will arrive at 4:00 P.M. for your dining pleasure. Following one last day at the current location, the brewery will prepare for its big move seven miles north to a new development on the Everett waterfront.

As we previously reported, the Waterfront Place project is a new, mixed-use community that will include breweries, restaurants, winery tasting rooms, apartments, hotels, and more. The 1.5 million-square-foot development will cover 65 acres at the waterfront near downtown. The new brewery and taproom will sit at a prominent corner along West Marine View Drive, offering a more visible, public-facing location, not to mention a newly constructed building.

“We believe that Waterfront Place is the future direction of Everett, and we are very excited to be a part of it,” said Shawn Loring, owner of Lazy Boy Brewing. “We are looking forward to the next chapter of the Lazy Boy Brewing era at the Port of Everett.”

The new Lazy Boy Brewing location, a brewery with a taproom, will sprawl across 3,500 square feet of a newly constructed building at the corner of Seiner Drive and West Marine View Drive. It will also offer guests an expansive patio seating area. The new building overlooks Seiner Wharf and Everett’s commercial fishing fleet. A new, year-round fish market will share space in the building.

If you are one of the many, many people who’ve spent time at the current Lazy Boy Brewing location, or even if you’ve never been there, stop by on Saturday to say goodbye. For now.
