If you’ve been around the Seattle beer scene for any time at all, you’ve most likely enjoyed a beer brewed by Kevin Forhan. Or, at the very least, you’ve tasted a beer in which he was somehow involved. Most recently, he was the head brewer at Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery. His pedigree includes stints at the likes of Pike Brewing and Big Time Brewery.
Kevin recently put down the mash paddle and retired from the brew deck to the deck of the boat he calls home. Latona Pub invites you to celebrate the man, the myth, and the legend of Kevin Forhan. He’s a rather unassuming sort of fella, so this is a great opportunity to make him the center of attention, which will surely make him really, really uncomfortable. Don’t miss it!

Those of you who are lucky enough to know Kevin know that he’s part of the backbone of the Seattle craft beer scene over the last few decades, having spent his early days at Pike and Big Time Brewing, brewing in Spain for a spell, coming back to the states to help open Elysian Fields, and then taking the reins at Ram Brewing.”
“He’s spent the last 10 or so years at Flying Bike Brewing—Washington’s only cooperatively owned brewery—making innovative beers and supporting home brewers around the country. Kevin is passing the Flying Bike torch to the wonderful and accomplished Katherine Gooding, who’s been his right hand and co-brewer for quite some time now.
