The event on November 29th is all about the chili and the chilly
It’s a chili cook-off and a warm clothing drive. It’s about chili and chilly. Queen Anne Beer Hall invites you to help it crown the Chili King of Queen Anne! (See what they did there?) Enjoy some food and beer, bring some warm clothing and cold-weather essentials for the SMASH THE COLD drive. Thursday, November 20th, 7-9 pm. Tickets are $25 and include 10 beer samples with 10 chili samples.
Ten local breweries will concoct their best chili to serve at the event. You sample a chili and a beer from each brewery. For example, a chili from Reuben’s Brews paired with a beer sample from the same brewery. You repeat. Ten breweries, ten chilis, ten craft-beer pairings. You vote. In the end, the Queen Anne Beer Hall will crown the Chili Champion of Queen Anne. List of participating breweries is below. Get info here. Get tickets here.
The Queen Anne Beer Hall will feature the winning chili on its fresh sheet for a month. The winning brewery also wins a permanent tap at the QABH for three months: some nice, guaranteed keg sales!
As for the chilly, this is also a warm clothing drive. All participating breweries are joining forces to SMASH THE COLD with a Warm Essentials Drive benefiting Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. Donation bins are set up at ALL brewery locations and ALL Hall locations: Queen Anne Beer Hall, Moss Bay Hall, and The Hall at Occidental. Breweries earn bonus points for every coat, blanket, or cold-weather essential donated.
