Brewery and taproom reopening thanks to your support

In December, Odd Otter Brewing announced that it would indefinitely close its brewery and taproom in Tacoma, Washington. (Read our story about it here.) Today we share the happy news that the brewery has found a way forward and is reopening, though the exact date is not yet clear.

The statement in December said, “We are closing December 31st until further notice. Like a lot of small businesses in Tacoma, this year has been very difficult for us. Unfortunately, we have made the decision to close the taproom. We are trying to figure out a way forward for Odd Otter in 2024. We appreciate all the support you have given us over the past 9 amazing years and sincerely hope we can open our doors again.”

Yesterday, Odd Otter Brewing announced on Facebook that it was now poised to reopen. “Taking Dry January to a whole new level! WE ARE BACK and otterly thrilled to continue our tradition of serving the oddest beer in Tacoma.”

“Thank you for all of the kind messages over the last few weeks. It reminds us how truly amazing our community is. This would not have been possible without your support. Now our job is to #keepitodd! We will be sharing more information as the week goes on about adjusted hours while we get all of our equipment back up and running. Stay tuned and Stay odd!”
