A New Brewery in Shelton

We’ve recently learned about Jeff and Tess Thompson and their plans to open the Grove Street Brewhouse. They’ve been working on the plan for a few years now and are inching closer and closer to their goal of opening a brewery and pub in Shelton. Of course we will continue to follow this story, but for now we can give you a quick introduction.
The Grove Street Brewhouse will be located in a converted car dealership at the corner of First and Grove in the heart of downtown Shelton. Kegs and kettles have been ordered, permits have been pursued, and a lot of Jeff and Tess’ personal sweat equity has been invested. Instead of getting mired in debt, Jeff has chosen to do much of the work himself. That having been said, we have yet to get an estimate on the “go live” date. The opening is imminent, but the date is still unknown. Better to not set false expectations, I suppose.
We understand that they already have a brewmaster in mind, though we don’t know who that might be. The Thompson’s vision for the Grove Street Brewhouse is of a place where people can go for good food, really good beer, conversation, music and art. Cheers to that!
