As we reported previously, Seattle’s Rooftop Brewing is closed indefinitely due to a fire that caused extensive damage to the building, the brewery’s equipment, and the materials required to make beer. While the contractors and insurance companies evaluate the situation, Rooftop Brewing is in limbo. BUT there are ways you can help. See our original story about the fire.
A Fire Sale – In the undamaged outdoor space. The brewery says its swag was smoke-damaged, but probably just needs to be run through the wash. Imagine you wore that T-shirt while sitting around a campfire. They’ll offer a discount on all Rooftop Brewing shirts, hoodies, hats, glassware, and whatever else survived. AND they’ll have a couple beers on tap, poured from a jockey box. Yes, SmashThat will be open.
Friday, September 6 from 5-8 pm
Saturday, September 7 from 12-7 pm
Sunday, September 8 from 12-7 pm
GoFundMe – “Help Us Rebuild and Support Our Team! Many of you reached out to offer your support after a fire damaged the brewery. We’ve launched a GoFundMe with a twofold mission: to fund the rebuilding of our beloved brewery and to provide crucial financial support to our team during this challenging time. Every contribution will help us restore the space and ensure our staff can weather this storm. Please donate or share this message – your support makes all the difference.”
Drink the Beer – Several local bars and taprooms stepped up to buy what inventory (kegs) were undamaged. Order a pint or two if you see Rooftop Brewing’s beers on tap around town. This shows not only some financial support, but also your moral support.
