We just spotted this on a Facebook post from The Swiss in Tacoma. We wish we had heard about it sooner – but better late than never. If you’re looking for something to do today besides lay around the shanty and watch football, The Swiss has a lineup of live music from now until 10:30 p.m., plus a silent auction and raffle prizes to benefit Friends of the Holidays, a Tacoma group that puts together Christmas dinners for families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford anything special for the holiday.
Yeah, that’s a good reason to go enjoy one of the 34 beers The Swiss has on tap.
According to www.tacomaweekly.com, here’s the lineup:
For a $10 donation at the door, music fans will get a full night of live music courtesy of the nine bands scheduled to perform (in order of appearance): J. D. Hobson, Garrett & Wescott, Hip Bone, 7 on 7, Rock-N-Roll Magic, Billy Roy Danger & The Rectifiers, Bump Kitchen, The Randy Oxford Band and Ryan Purcell & The Last Round. Each will play a 50-minute set, beginning at around 1 p.m. and continuing until 10:30 p.m. All of these musicians chip in for the cause by gifting their time and talents to the Friends’ efforts.
Cool, I never knew about The Swiss, I’ll definitely have to check it out. I keep getting more and more impressed with Tacoma’s craft beer scene! Which is nice because I’m just on the other side of the pond on Vashon Island.
