On Friday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m., Hilliard’s Beer will be site of a beer and food tasting event that will also see you learning a bit about cooking – hands on. Knowing that Hilliard’s doesn’t serve food or have a kitchen, I was curious. How exactly do you have a cooking party without a kitchen? So I asked.

Parties That Cook is a completely mobile cooking party company. All we need is a sink!” I was told when I inquired about the upcoming event at Hilliard’s Beer in Ballard. “We can bring in everything else (tables, burners, ovens, chefs, ingredients, recipes, etc.) to host a great hands-on cooking event, and that’s exactly what we would do in this case.”

You can get tickets online at the following website: http://www.partiesthatcook.com/brews-bites-beer-tasting-cooking-class-315-seattle

Celebrate St. Patty’s Day with the perfect combination of delicious beer and gourmet food! At this exciting hands-on cooking party, guests are greeted at the door with a nibble and a name tag. Set in Hilliard’s fun brewery, guests will briefly tour the brewery before embarking on a tasting of Hilliard’s delicious beers. They’ll then join the Parties That Cook chefs for a lively introductory cooking lesson featuring fun tips such as the fastest way to dice an onion without a tear.

Upbeat music sets the mood while the group breaks into smaller teams to prepare the evening’s menu of gourmet appetizers. As each dish is completed, guests mix and mingle, savoring the ‘fruits’ of their labor hot from the oven! After the event, copies of the recipes and digital photos are emailed to the group.
