You can buy them online. Get tickets to either of these two January events at Brave Horse Tavern, print them out (or the receipt), put them in an envelope, and put a bow on it. Beer dinners at Brave Horse Tavern are nothing short of spectacular. It is always an elevated dining experience in a casual atmosphere. It’s like black-tie food in a blue jeans environment. And there’s always plenty of beer and lots of laughs.

The first event (Jan. 25) features the beers of Stone Brewing and a visit with Dr. Bill. Rare and delectable treats from Stone Brewing paired with specially crafted dishes from the Brave Horse chefs. Bill Sysak is something of a guru, holds a cool title like “Beverage Supervisor” at Stone Brewing, and is recognized as a master at the art of beer and food pairings.

The second event (Jan. 30) features the beers of Seattle’s own Machine House Brewing, which is making a name for itself by serving nothing but authentic British-style ales. At this event, Bill Arnott’s beers sit beside traditional English pub fare, elevated to a level befitting a Tom Douglas establishment like The Brave Horse. For all you expats and anglophiles, this dinner is an absolute must. Where else are you going to get smoked rabbit bangers and spotted dick?

Here is information about both events:

Have a beer question? Dr. Bill is your man.

Bill Sysak, or “Dr. Bill,” as he’s known in the inner circle of craft-beerdom, is a master of zymurgical knowledge (made famous in part by his lavish beer tasting parties) and general beer wizardry. He is the man behind the pairing of every Stone Beer, paired with an appetizer, a soup, an entrée, cheese, dessert, and cigars at Stone Brewing’s World Bistro and Gardens.
