The Whisky Bar in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood takes its beer almost as seriously as it takes its whiskey. The main focus is on outstanding craft cocktails, but The Whisky Bar is also recognized as one of the better beer joints downtown. Today the West Seattle Blog reported that a second Whisky Bar is opening in West Seattle, right next to Beveridge Place Pub.
Sandwiched between Beveridge Place and Zeeks Pizza, the former home of the rock-themed Feedback Lounge is currently undergoing a serious renovation. The owners of The Whisky Bar happen to be West Seattle residents and the plan is for the new location to be called The Whisky West. We hear that there will probably be about 20 beers on tap and more in bottles.
The Whisky West will be as similar to the original location as possible. Along with beer and booze, they’ll offer a full menu of “good bar food” and plan to be open from lunch until 2:00 am. They’ve yet to decide if this will be a 21+ establishment, or if they’ll allow kids part of the time.
They just signed the lease and immediately got to work, so all of the details are still coming together.
The news, that there will once again be straight shots available next door to The Bev, is particularly welcomed by Manny and Gary, and anyone else who occasionally needs a small, albeit brief diversion from beer.

Yay!
Uber should just start running a shuttle bus to downtown…
