From Seattle, Bellingham, Vancouver, Port Townsend, Sunnyside and beyond, brewers from across the state will assemble on the Seattle waterfront for the 5th annual Washington Belgianfest. This beloved beer event is now just three weeks away. Tickets are on sale now. I’d advise that you get them sooner than later, especially if you want to attend the afternoon session (noon – 4:00). Seriously, last year both sessions sold out. The 5th annual Belgianfest takes place on Saturday, February 1st at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center.
I suppose you could call this post a reminder. While I’m at it, I should encourage you to join WABL, if you haven’t already. If you’re the type of person who attends beer festivals around Washington, your WABL membership basically pays for itself.
For us serious beer lovers, this is an event that should not be missed. Operating within the very broad parameters of “Belgian-style beer,” our Washington brewers always come up with some great beers. There’s plenty of room for creativity, which is when good brewers really shine.
