Wayback Wednesdays at Machine House Brewing

Wayback Wednesday is all about turning back the clock to a simpler time. For the month of October Machine House Brewery will host various types of old timey music on Wednesday evenings.  Each week features a different artist playing country blues, bluegrass, and old timey jazz.

In addition, the brewery’s three original beers (Golden Ale, Best Bitter, and Dark Mild) will sell for their original prices: $4 pints, $2 half-pints, and $7 growler fills.

This Wednesday, to kick things off, they’ll also be tapping into their Mosaic Fresh Hop ale. And if that isn’t reason enough, music will be supplied by Squirrel Butter (pictured above), a local old timey country, bluegrass, western group. Squirrel Butter is comprised of the husband / wife duo of Charlie Beck and Charmaine Slaven. They’re also part of a local honky tonk outfit called The Lucky Shots, but might be best remembered as half of The Tallboys, a beloved local bluegrass ensemble.

To find out about the other artists performing at Machine House Brewery this month, and any other special beers they might have in store, keep an eye on the company’s Facebook page.
