Last May, when the impact of the pandemic was really sinking in and happy news was hard to find, we shared the story of a brewery expanding in the face of adversity. Yakima’s Wandering Hop Brewery announced that it was opening a second location, a new brewery and taproom in nearby Zillah, Washington. Today we share the next chapter in that story.
Wandering Hop Brewery just announced that it is in the process of installing the new brewing system at the new location (images from Facebook). Once up and running, the new-to-them equipment will more than triple the brewery’s production capabilities.
“We can’t contain our excitement any longer!” said a statement on social media. “Over the weekend we took delivery of a new (to us) Brewhouse. After nearly 4 years of brewing on a VERY hands-on, small, and physically demanding brewhouse… we purchased a massive upgrade.”
“What does this mean!? We have over tripled our production capabilities, more beers, new beers and finally a Barrel Program. We want to extend a big thank you to everyone who has continued to support us from the 1/2bbl batches and plastic cup days to where we are now. From the Wandering Hop & Cooper family to you, THANK YOU so much.”
Congratulations, Wandering Hop Brewery. We cannot wait to come check out the new digs.
