Update from Georgetown Brewing – we’re getting closer

You have to admire how the folks at Georgetown Brewing’s approached business during the pandemic. Instead of only focusing on their own hardships, something for which nobody could blame them, they strove to support the businesses that have supported Georgetown Brewing over the years. Namely, the restaurants and bars that sell Georgetown’s beers.

That’s what last summer’s Manny’s Pale Ale cans were all about. Proceeds from the sale of those uber-popular cans were donated to support folks in the restaurant and bar biz. They raised over $400,000! Read about it.

Manny’s Cannies.

Throughout the pandemic, as we’ve vacillated back and forth from one phase to the other, and many bars and taprooms reopened in whatever configuration they were allowed, Georgetown Brewing kept the taproom closed for anything but to-go beer sales. Why? If you were going to go out for a pint of beer somewhere, Georgetown Brewing wanted you to support one of the area’s beleaguered bars and restaurants.

When Will The Taproom Reopen?

Remember bellying up to the bar?

“Even as the county has moved into phase 3, we are continuing to remain beer-to-go while we discuss plans for reopening the taproom,” said the most recent announcement from Georgetown Brewing. “And we promise, we are getting *very* close!”

“The good news is, more and more of your favorite bars and restaurants have been able to safely reopen and expand capacity – make sure to support them and get a fresh pint!”

All that being said, here’s what is waiting for you right now at Georgetown Brewing’s still to-go-only taproom
