Over several days, our Taproom Manager Bobby and Assistant Brewer Sherman handpicked an abundance of Redmond-grown tart cherries from the tree of one of our esteemed Tenured Pourfessors. We added those cherries to our Saison de Postdoc with our house Brettanomyces culture. The result is a refreshingly dry and deliciously tannic saison bursting with pie cherry flavors.

Spicy Fest & BBQ Throwdown
Saturday September 17th @ 11a
Postdoc Brewing’s Taproom in Redmond
Join us for our inaugural Spicy Beer Fest and BBQ Throwdown on Saturday Sepetember 17th.
We will open at 11a with a variety of our beers doctored with creative flavorings and spicy peppers.
At noon, competing cooks will begin serving their food to attendees. After you’ve had your fill, you will get to vote for 1 competitor’s BBQ to be crowned champion. Awards will be given at 5p, but the food (and special beers) may or may not last that long, so come early.
If you think you have what it takes to be among those competing, please read the following:
-Space is limited to 8 cooks/teams (as of 9/2, we have 3 spots left). Competitors will be selected based on timeliness of response.
-All varieties of meats are allowed. A side or two is encouraged, but not mandatory.
-All food and preparation/warming equipment is to be provided by competitors. We will provide paper plates and plastic ware.
-Patrons will be encouraged to donate to Skagit Valley College’s Craft Brewing Academy for participation in the feasting and voting experience.
-Judging will be based on voting by Postdoc patrons attending the event. 1 vote cast per attendee based on the holistic experience of your goods.
-Winners will receive a custom-made Postdoc BBQ Champion medallion, a photo on our wall of fame, and the irrefutable bragging rights that come with their triumph.
-All participating cooks will receive generously discounted beer for responsible consumption and use of beer in their cooking during the competition.
-Food cooking/prep at Postdoc will begin at 7a on the day of Sept 17th and food service will begin at noon. Plan accordingly to do any cooking/prep that is required beyond that prior to the event.
-All food preparation and serving will be outside and weather may be a factor. You’ll want to make absolutely sure that you keep an eye on the forecast and prepare accordingly. Be prepared for what you think might be the worst-case scenario.

Strides for Strokes Silent Auction

We are thrilled to be hosting a silent auction to raise funds for The American Heart & Stroke association.
We have procured an impressive lineup of auction items including: artwork, signed sports memorabilia, homebrewing kits, food, wine, golf lessons, horseback riding, and best of all…. BEER!
Also, word on the street is one of our very special barrel aged beers might be making an appearance for attendees.
$10 Admission Fee
100% of the silent auction and entrance fee proceeds will go to The American Heart & Stroke Association
