Two Silver City Favorites Now Available in 6-Packs

For whatever reason, some beer lovers around the Seattle area fail to recognize that Silver City Brewing is a local brewery. That kind of torques my bolts, honestly. Hopefully today’s news, and what it means, helps to remedy the situation for those misguided folks. Jump to the press release below to skip my brief pontification.

Regardless of any misconceptions, Silver City Brewing (Silverdale and Bremerton) is one of our great local breweries, has been making great beer on the shores of Puget Sound since 1996, and is one of Washington’s most highly decorated breweries. Count the medals. See the ratings on Beer Advocate and Rate Beer. Drink the beer. However you measure a brewery’s worth, Silver City deserves some serious props. I’m not just saying that because they are one of our blog sponsors. I am proud they’re a sponsor and I am proud they’re a Washington brewery.

I just wanted to get that off my chest.

Now, I want to tell you that Silver City Brewing is expanding distribution of its two flagship beers. Maybe the increased availability will help people tune-in to the reality that Silver City is local. Ridgetop Red Ale and Saint Florian IPA are now available in 6-packs of 12-ounce bottles throughout Seattle, King County, Snohomish County and beyond. See the press release below for more details.

Saint Florian IPA & Ridgetop Red 6-packs have been available in Kitsap, Clallam, Mason, Jefferson, Pierce, & Thurston counties, since earlier this year, quickly becoming one of the top selling local craft beer offered in 12oz bottle 6-packs.

Silver City Brewery owner Scott Houmes said “Offering first our Ridgetop Red Ale and now our Saint Florian IPA has enabled more Western Washington craft beer fans to enjoy our beers with the convenience and high quality that a 12oz bottle 6-pack offers. We’re excited with the growth that has allowed us to begin offering our 6-packs to Seattle and the King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, San Juan, & Island County areas.”

Silver City Brewery has added these areas as production has grown to accommodate the demand. Of this Kurt Larson, Silver City Brewery Director of Sales & Marketing said “Our focus is always to provide the freshest highest quality beer as close to home as possible, so a slow, methodical growth plan as far as how we expand our distribution area is keeping with that very goal in mind.” Kurt added “We always say our favorite beers, especially IPA’s, are best from the closest brewery to where ever you are.”

Ridgetop Red & Saint Florian IPA 6-packs will be available at grocery stores & specialty bottles shops where great local Washington craft beer is sold.
