Sign up for The Taster Tray and tell us what you think

NOTE – On December 20, 2023, we decided to discontinue The Taster Tray. It was a good idea, glad we gave it a shot, but it’s now over.

My unnatural obsession with craft beer news reaches new, dizzying heights, but that’s good news for you.

What is The Taster Tray? Well, it involves a couple of people you know (that’s us pictured above). I am one of those people–more about my partner later. While the Washington Beer Blog focuses on a continual stream of beer news from Washington and the Pacific Northwest, The Taster Tray is a weekly email newsletter focused on the national craft beer scene. Not dull and dry, but fun, juicy, and easy-to-quaff craft beer news from across the nation.

You can sign up here to get The Taster Tray delivered weekly to your email inbox. Once per week, that’s it. If you don’t like it, send it back to the bar; unsubscribe at any time knowing that you won’t hurt my feelings. You’re getting in on the ground floor. I’d love to have you aboard to help us build this into something valuable and fun. We want your feedback, in other words.

I promise that my role as editor at The Taster Tray will not impact the Washington Beer Blog. My partner in this venture is Adam Robbings, one of the co-founders of Reuben’s Brews. Don’t worry, this won’t change anything at the brewery, either. The Taster Tray will not interfere with the flow of your Crikey IPA or Three Ryesmen Barleywine.

The Taster Tray’s mission is to promote the craft beer industry while fostering a sense of community and comradery across the industry. Industry-focused, sure, but a lot of you beer drinkers are also pretty darn passionate about beer and want to get a taste of what’s happening in the industry. We like to think of The Taster Tray as beer news from the bar back — from the bar back to the tap, from the tap back to the brewhouse, from the brewhouse back to the farm.

You can take a look at some of the stuff we’ve covered thus far here. Go ahead and sign up for The Taster Tray. Don’t cost nothin’, and you can always unsubscribe if it doesn’t suit your tastes.
