pFriem Family Brewers consolidates & expands distribution in Washington

Oregon’s pFriem Family Brewers hopes to get its beer deeper into the Washington beer market

Columbia Distributing just announced a new partnership with Oregon’s pFriem Family Brewers. Across its 10-year history, the brewery based in Hood River, Oregon has worked with a number of different distributors in different parts of Washington state. Now, the Northwest’s largest distributor will handle pFriem’s distribution across all of Washington.

The goal is to get pFriem’s beers deeper into the market, suggests Josh pFriem, Brewmaster and Co-Founder of pFriem Family Brewers. “We are thrilled for our opportunity to work with Columbia Distributing in Washington state. Their commitment to high-quality service and a deep distribution footprint will help us get pFriem beer to all the places where our customers are looking for us. Timing is everything and now is the right time and place for us to make this move in Washington,” says pFriem.

Columbia Distributing’s President and CEO, Chris Steffanci, says he is enthusiastic about pFriem’s strong growth potential in Washington. “We’re honored that the pFriem family and its ownership team have put their confidence and trust in us. Josh pFriem says that he expects to continue to expand the brewery’s presence in Washington and accelerate its investments in the market. The partnership with Columbia will allow pFriem Family Brewers to strengthen its on-premise draft business, which is critical to its strategy, and at the same time will help the company broaden its package distribution to new classes of trade.
