New beer releases and event news from Bale Breaker Brewing

Today we share a whole bunch of news about beer releases, and coinciding events, from Bale Breaker Brewing. Here it is in their own words.

Bale Breaker Brewing Company is gearing up for three limited beer releases that include the debut of two Belgian-style brews and a Triple IPA, Mount Saint Humulus. Plus, casks of Dormancy Breakfast Stout are being prepared for the upcoming Dark Beer & Chocolate Event.

Belgian-Style Beers debut Jan 28; first batches on the Pilot Brewhouse. As part of its 16,000 sq.ft expansion in 2016, Bale Breaker Brewing installed a 5 barrel replica of its 30 barrel production brewhouse. The first beers created on this Pilot system were developed for the 8th annual Belgian Fest in Seattle on January 28. Piste-Off Saison and Caleçon Saison will debut at that event, and then will be available Yakima at the Taproom on draught only.

Piste-Off Saison –  6.7% ABV | 37 IBU
After nearly four years of IPAs, this Yakima-based, hop farm brewery finally ventured into brewing a traditional farmhouse ale. But, as expected, Bale Breaker’s first foray into a Saison features heavy dry-hop additions of Citra & Loral. As it turns out, we weren’t “piste-off” about brewing this one.

Caleçon Saison – 7.5% ABV | 31 IBU
Thanks to their newly-installed 5-barrel pilot system, Bale Breaker brewed a second Saison for this year’s Belgianfest. Inspired by the cold winter days of the Pacific NW, Caleçon Saison is slightly darker in color but brightened with orange peel and spiced with coriander.

Mount Saint Humulus Triple IPA will premier in Seattle on Feb 2 at WA Hop Mob events and be served in the Yakima Taproom on Feb 3 on draught only.

Mount Saint Humulus Triple IPA  – 9.3% ABV | 100++ IBU

Brewed as a part of the WA Hop Mob, the first Triple IPA brewed by Bale Breaker hits like a volcanic eruption of the finest Yakima Valley hops.  Experience an explosion of hop aroma in each sip, thanks to a heavy dry-hop addition of Mosaic™, Equinox™, and Citra®.  Be careful, folks… Mount Saint Humulus just might blow your top right off.

Think Bale Breaker only does hoppy beer? Think again! On February 18th, we’re taking our Dormancy Breakfast Stout to the next level during the Washington Beer Open House and Yakima Valley’s Red Wine and Chocolate events.  To celebrate this weekend, we set aside a few Dormancy kegs that our brewers cask-conditioned and infused with flavors like chocolate, coconut, and whiskey. Add a tour of the newly expanded brewery at 2pm or 4pm (first come, first serve).

Cheers to our sponsors, like…
