New beer from Georgetown Brewing is built to defend the wild

Introducing Wild Defense IPA

We’ve talked about the Washington Brewshed Alliance® many times here on the blog. Over the years, we’ve even organized fundraisers to benefit the Alliance. It’s a super-cool program that highlights the relationship between great beer and clean, healthy water sources. The Brewshed Alliance is a function of Washington Wild and includes over 70 beer industry partners from across the state. Georgetown Brewing is one of those partners.

Georgetown Brewing just introduced a new beer, Wild Defense IPA, which it will release this month. Proceeds from the beer benefit Washington Wild’s ongoing mission to protect and restore wild lands and waters in Washington state. Below, I share the release announcement from Georgetown Brewing.

But while I’ve got your ear, I should point out a couple of ways that you, my fellow beer lover, can support the Brewshed Alliance. Of course, you can donate to Washington Wild. Also, you can become a Brewshed Ambassador, which is a volunteer position that is more about your support for the cause than it is a heavy time commitment. Finally, you can drink the Brewshed beers that local breweries produce to benefit Washington Wild, like Georgetown Brewing’s Wild Defense IPA.

Wild Defense IPA

Last year, Georgetown Brewing joined the Washington Brewshed® Alliance, a program of Washington Wild that works with over 80 Washington state breweries, maltsters, hop growers, and pubs to advocate, fundraise and increase awareness for protecting our state’s waterways.

This July we will be releasing Wild Defense IPA. Using Salmon-Safe certified malt from Mainstem Malt, a portion of proceeds will be donated to Washington Wild to help with their mission to protect and restore wild lands and waters in Washington State through advocacy, education, and civic engagement.
